Mentone Grammar is a dynamic ELC-12 co-educational School, with a proud history dating back to the 1920’s. The School is structured into 4 campuses on one site – Eblana (ELC to Year 4), Bayview (Years 5 to 8), Greenways (Year 9) and Frogmore (Years 10 to 12).
Mentone Grammar boasts a fully-equipped, contemporary which offers outstanding swimming programs coached by highly experienced staff. Competitive Squads are run through the School’s partner club, , who train at the Aquatic Centre.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified Squad Coach to become an essential and valued member of the Mentone Grammar / Bayside Swimming Club staff team.
This full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing position is responsible for providing consistently high quality coaching to all swimmers in a professional manner in accordance with the organisation’s objectives. This position will also have a range of administrative responsibilities.
Working closely with the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach, the Squad Coach will take an active role in planning, writing and conducting training plans for swimmers at Local, Regional and State squad levels.
The successful applicant will have well-developed skills in relating to young people and actively supporting their achievements, be punctual, reliable, have sound communication skills and computer literacy skills, and be a strong administrator.
Applicants must hold the following qualifications as a minimum:
- AustSwim Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes (TCS)
- ASCTA Bronze License Swim Coach certificate
- Current CPR and First Aid Level 1 certificates
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
