The Customer Care Team at Kingston City Council prides themselves on taking personal responsibility and accountability for the service we deliver daily to our customers and residents. We look after phones, the service counters and our expanding digital channels for Kingston which is well over 220,000 interactions a year, this means we are always busy!

The role

We are seeking a Customer Care Officer to join the Customer Care team. Reporting to the Service Performance Coordinator, Tracey Riddle, your role is to:

  • Working the call centre helping customers with queries and requests.
  • Use a range of technology in your day i.e. phone, email, web and other applications as you deliver solutions to meet our community’s needs.

About you

You will have solid customer service experience, preferably in a call centre environment and a proactive attitude with the ability quickly pick up new information and follow established procedures.

You will be primarily working the call centre helping customers with queries and requests

What we can offer

There are a fixed term contract role available;

  • 1 X 9 month contract role 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday to Friday) 

You will be rostered to work between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm Monday – Friday and you will be based at 1230 Nepean Highway in Cheltenham in our purpose built call centre, which is close to public transport.
